Welcome

Welcome to the Killeen Association of Texas Professional Educators web site. With more than 1,100 members, we are the largest educational association serving the Killeen Independent School District. Believing that it takes an entire community to educate children, our "all inclusive" membership policy includes teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, retirees, teacher trainees, college students, and the general public. All we ask is that you be interested in the education of children. We are part of the 112,000 plus member Association of Texas Professional Educators, the leading educators’ association in the state and the largest independent association for public school educators in the nation.

Summer advocacy tools to keep you in the political loop

Another school year is over, and, because it’s an odd-numbered year, another legislative session is in the books. While ATPE wishes you a restful and fulfilling summer break, we also hope that you’ll remain diligent about reading education-related news. Take advantage of ATPE’s advocacy to stay plugged in while you’re chilling out this summer.

The RSS feed at atpe.org is a convenient way to keep up with the latest legislative information. The ATPE Web site is regularly updated with a wealth of legislative news and information on ATPE priority legislation, agency hearings and ATPE business... And now you can use an RSS feed to be notified when new information becomes available rather than having to check the site every hour. For more information about RSS feeds, visit www.atpe.org/Resources/ATPENewsSpring/techSupport.aspx.
